Privacy Policy

Information we handle

• Account and sign-in: email address, a stable account ID, your chosen Vocab username, and sign-in provider identifiers. If you choose Google, Google shares your name, email address, profile information, and account identifier so we can authenticate you and connect that Google account to your Vocab account. We save the verified Google email as an additional account contact. We do not access Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, or calendars.
• Your learning data: saved words, your optional example context, definitions and examples, review schedule and history, writing practice and feedback, language preferences, and account plan. Data is stored on your device and, when signed in and online, synced to Supabase so you can restore it on your account.
• LINE: if you connect LINE or send a word to the Vocab Official Account, LINE account identifiers, display name, and the message you send are processed to link your account and save the word you requested.
• Support and content reports: information you choose to send with a report or support request. Corrections accepted into Vocab's shared dictionary can be shown to other users.
• Service analytics: Google Analytics receives product event names such as a word being saved or a review being completed, plus ordinary analytics information. Cloudflare Web Analytics measures website visits and performance. The product events do not include your words, sentences, email address, or account ID.
• Device storage: Vocab uses local storage and an on-device database to keep your session, preferences, and learning data available, including when offline.

How information is used and shared

We use information to provide sign-in, account linking, vocabulary saving, cloud backup, review scheduling, writing feedback, audio, support, security, and service analytics. When you request AI definitions, translations, sentence feedback, or pronunciation, the relevant word, context, or text is sent to the provider needed for that feature (OpenAI for language generation and speech). If you use LINE, the message passes through LINE. Supabase hosts authentication, database, and related service data; Cloudflare hosts the website. These providers process data to operate the requested service under their own terms and privacy policies.

Google account data is used to authenticate you, link the account you selected, and retain its verified email for account contact. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models. We do not request access to other Google services.

Retention and your choices

Your account and synced learning data are retained while your account is active. You can export your data or request account deletion in Settings. Deleting your account removes account-linked data from our active database; limited records may remain temporarily in provider backups or where retention is required for security or legal obligations. Shared, non-account-specific dictionary entries and generated audio may remain available to all users.

You can choose not to connect Google or LINE, turn off analytics through available browser controls, or use the app without syncing where available. Removing an identity may affect your ability to sign in; contact us if you need help.

Children and changes

Vocab is not designed for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. We may update this policy when the service or data practices change. The current version and effective date are published here.

生效日期：2026 年 10 月 6 日。本政策說明你使用 Vocab 單字學習網站與 App（包括登入及透過 LINE 記單字）時，Vocab 如何處理資料。

我們處理的資料

• 帳號與登入：email、固定帳號 ID、你選擇的 Vocab 使用者名稱，以及登入服務提供者的識別資料。選擇 Google 登入時，Google 會提供姓名、email、個人資料及帳號識別碼，供 Vocab 驗證身分及連結你選擇的 Google 帳號；我們會另外保存已驗證的 Google email 作為帳號聯絡資料。我們不會讀取 Gmail、Google 雲端硬碟、聯絡人或日曆。
• 學習資料：你保存的單字、選填的例句情境、解釋與例句、複習排程與紀錄、寫作練習與回饋、語言偏好及帳號方案。資料會保存在你的裝置；登入且連線時會同步至 Supabase，供你在同一帳號還原。
• LINE：若你連結 LINE 或向 Vocab 官方帳號傳送單字，LINE 帳號識別碼、顯示名稱及你傳送的訊息會用於連結帳號及保存你指定的單字。
• 客服與內容回報：你在回報或聯絡客服時選擇提供的資料。採納至 Vocab 共用字典的修正內容可能會提供其他使用者查看。
• 服務分析：Google Analytics 會收到「儲存單字」或「完成複習」等產品事件名稱及一般分析資料；Cloudflare Web Analytics 用於衡量網站造訪及效能。產品事件不含你的單字、句子、email 或帳號 ID。
• 裝置儲存：Vocab 使用裝置本機儲存空間保存登入狀態、偏好與學習資料，讓你在離線時也能使用。

資料用途及分享方式

我們使用資料提供登入、帳號連結、儲存單字、雲端備份、複習排程、寫作回饋、發音、客服、安全及服務分析。當你要求 AI 解釋、翻譯、批改句子或播放發音時，必要的單字、情境或文字會傳送給該功能所需的服務商（OpenAI 用於文字生成與語音）。使用 LINE 時，訊息會經過 LINE。Supabase 提供身分驗證、資料庫等服務；Cloudflare 託管網站。上述服務商依各自條款與隱私政策處理營運服務所需資料。

Google 帳號資料只用於驗證身分、連結你選擇的帳號，以及保存已驗證 email 供帳號聯絡。我們不販售 Google 使用者資料、不用於廣告，也不會拿來訓練 AI 模型；我們不要求存取其他 Google 服務。

保存期間與你的選擇

帳號與同步的學習資料會在帳號有效期間保存。你可以在設定匯出資料或刪除帳號。刪除帳號會移除正式資料庫中連結帳號的資料；服務商備份或基於安全、法律義務所需的有限紀錄，可能暫時保留。共用字典中不含帳號資料的詞條與生成語音可能繼續提供所有使用者使用。

你可以選擇不連結 Google 或 LINE，也可透過瀏覽器可用的控制項停用分析功能；在支援的情況下也可不登入使用。移除登入方式可能影響帳號登入；如需協助請聯絡我們。

兒童與政策更新

Vocab 並非為未滿 13 歲兒童設計，我們不會刻意蒐集未滿 13 歲兒童的個人資料。服務或資料處理方式變更時，我們會更新本政策，並在此公布最新版本及生效日期。
